Timothy Young grew up in Fairfield, Maine and attended Maine Maritime Academy. His first passion was football, and he lived the game for twelve years as a player. When that chapter ended, he began coaching youth teams and discovered his love of reading. He was captivated by Tom Clancy, Stephen Coonts, and Stephen Cannell; later becoming a fan of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and Ben Coes.

After Graduation from College, he worked as a sales engineer for a local machine tool manufacturer. In the mid-1990’s, Timothy left Maine, and after a year in Connecticut landed in Pennsylvania. In the mid-2000’s he purchased his first auto repair business.

Timothy and his wife Colleen live with their two children in the suburbs of Philadelphia, where they enjoy spending time with family and friends. Aside from his family, his passions remain reading and football. Still coaching, Timothy has spent every fall season on the gridiron since he was eight years old. His experiences as a player and coach have informed and inspired Legend.
